Anoka Kindness Rock Garden
The MN Kindness Alliance's flagship initiative, the Anoka Kindness Rock Garden, stands as a testament to our dedication. Since its inception on July 26th, 2019, the Alliance has shouldered the financial and logistical responsibilities for this heartwarming project. Originally nestled beneath a grand tree along the Rum River, which has since fallen, the rock garden now proudly resides in a permanent location, gracing the riverfront of Anoka City Hall. Not just a stationary feature, this garden boasts an event space at Rick Sorenson Park, serving as a hub for community engagement. Here, the Anoka Kindness Rock Garden hosts inclusive events like rock painting sessions and various community projects, extending its reach to offsite events, enriching the wider community. The best part? Almost all activities are free and open to everyone, fostering an ethos of inclusivity and kindness. Driving the initiative forward are the dedicated Anoka Kindness Rock Garden Ambassadors, a team of passionate volunteers generously sharing their time and talents without charge, embodying the spirit of goodwill at the core of this remarkable endeavor.
